Seeing this project through has been a joy, especially in the community painting process. Folks from all walks of life were able to assist, highschoolers from California, young Indigenous women and femmes, Pueblo farmers, parents and their children, artists, activists, and members of the Collective. The conversations and connection that happened around this piece will last well past the life of the work itself.
