“I Am Lfe” epilogue

The panel and opening we had for the completion of “I Am Life” was a joyful community gathering hosted by Axel Contemporary and Three Sisters Collective. Among other honored guests, Myrriah Gomez, Phd, Kathy WanPovi Sanchez, and the Tewa Women United T’Sayain were all in attendance. Dr Gomez and Elder Kathy were also there to discuss the intersections of Art, and Nuclear Safety in New Mexico.

The murals of Three Sisters Collective will also be featured on the beloved PBS-NM series ¡COLORES! on Saturday, December 7th! The episode will also be available on the show’s homepage after airing.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Christina M. Castro, Alesandra Candelaria, and Naya Valdo, Elder Kathy Sanchez and the T’Sayain, Matthew Chase Daniel, my family, my partner and our child for their support, patience, and encouragement. Without this amazing network of support, I would not be able to take on such large scale projects, much less organize the community around it!

Also thank you to all of the volunteers, and the Three Sisters Artists in Residence: Neebinnaukzhik Southall, Nicole Martin, Nigel Padilla, Yucca Buzzuto, and Anika. The creative community we’re building is beyond every dream I’ve had.
